A bird's diet is critical to its health and as a companion bird owner you may be reading many opinions on which is better: seed, pellet or sprouts.  All are nutritious foods, and one is not necessarily superior to the other, depending on what else you're feeding your bird along with it. 
    
An ideal solution may be to use both seed and pellet and occasionally add some sprouts to your daily feeding.  And don't forget the treats like Island Treat Honey Nuggets.
