My wife and I met Mel Seip, the owner of this wonderful bird shop about three years ago. Her knowledge of birds is truly inspiring as it was amassed simply from the standpoint of companionship plus her experience and research. Her shop is the most tidy and clean a potential customer could ask for. We would not trust our birds with anyone else. If you are considering a bird as a companion you owe it to yourself to visit the BirdLady of Easton.

I visited Birdlady of Eastons store a few months back, and was totally impressed with the store. It was so clean, nice and bright, and she had a big variety of toys in all shapes and sizes. The cages were so clean you could eat off of them. Mel really loves what she is doing, and it shows. She is very friendly and curtious when you come in, and takes the time to talk to you. She is not in it for just money, she genuinely cares about her birds. I definately will come to Mel for all my bird supplies.     Mrach 6, 2009   Debra B. 

This past Christmas I went to NC for a week. It was planned last minute. I was very happy to have my 2 needy conures stay at BirdLady of Easton for the week. It's always hard to be away from my babies, but knowing they would be taken care of my mind was at ease. I would not trust anyone else to care for my babies. Plus, no one in my family would be able to take care of them for me an entire week without getting bitten LOL. I also get my 2 conures groomed here as well. The prices are great and I am happy it is so close to my home. I would recommend BirdLady of Easton to any bird owner or someone looking to own a bird for the first time.     March 2, 2009   Arianne S

We purchase a cockatiel this past Saturday at your store, and we can't be happier.  We love our bird, and will get another in a few months.  The bird is sneezing a little.  Is there anything we can do to prevent a cold? yes i was following all the posts awhile back about the bird lady of easton.. i was never in her shop and having birds myself for years i was curious about everything that was said... well i finally got to visit her shop and i have to say that it was one on the nicest shops that i have been in .. mel was a pleasure to talk to her birds were the sweetest birds and the shop was clean and there was no wierd smell in the air... she has one of the best bird shops in my opinion... i will go back there again and i just wanted to say thank you to the people that posted all that stuff about her, it got me to go there

I love this place..... The Birdlady is very helpful and is more interested in your interaction with the birds then making money. Her passion for the birds shines when you talk to her. I spent over an hour in the store and felt so relaxed afterwards. I haven't purchased a bird yet, partially because she suggested I come visit a few more times with my daughter before making a decision. Just wanted to say I love that store!  Every time I have been in there it has been immaculately clean. All the birds are happy and talking.  Music is playing and the Bird Lady is very friendly. She has always taken extra time with me and my kids and the interest we have in the birds.

Although the store was a little hard to find, it was worth it. I saved on ABBA seed and the toys I bought. She also explained she does NOT sell her birds to just anyone. She explains the long-term commitment you make, the various things for a certain bird and if she "feels comfortable" with you she will then sell you the bird.
